Tom Hollander

Congratulations to Tom Hollander who won Best Supporting Actor at the BAFTA TV Awards for his role as Lance ‘Corky’ Corkoran in The Night Manager.
“To be given this at the end of making it is a really lovely feeling.” – Tom Hollander

We loved "the Nightmanager "and we loved the acting of Tom Hollander .
We wondered if he could be a descendant of Jerome Nicholas Hollander.
So we looked what Wikipedia could tell us .
Well..........

Hollander portrayed Lord Cutler Beckett, the "heavy" in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
In 2010, Hollander and writer James Wood co-created the TV series Rev., a sensitive comedy about the all-too-human vicar of an inner-city parish. Reviews called it intelligent, realistic and very funny. Hollander played the sympathetic title character, Rev. Adam Smallbone. The show won a BAFTA in 2011 for Best Situation Comedy, among other awards and recognition.

So by now we have a name that sounds familiair, pirates and a reverend.
Which in our family is to good to be true .
And yes that is so .

(according to internet ) Tom Hollander is a British actor. His father, Anthony Hollander, was from a family of Czech Jews (who converted to Catholicism). His mother, Clare E. (Hill), is of English descent.

So not a descendant of Jerome Nicholas Holland, but it would be nice to see to see an episode of "Who do you Think you are about " Tom Hollander.
