To my mother

To my mother

On a purple hill I see afar
Where are blue skies overhead
So she gleams my guiding star
In the calm haven of the death.

Just so that lonely star above
Will still light us along the way
A lasting light, a mothers´s love
In a gay world now going grey.

look down from your starry sphere,
Mother smile now and understand,
There are none of the passers by
Who will give me a helping hand.
