It looks as if Arthur Lewis did have all three sons predecease him, Arthur at 3 or 4, Lewis at 23 and Hugh at 27. Hugh is a mystery, still living at home in 1911 with no apparent trade and dying in Edmonton four years later. He may have been a repatriated casualty or in a reserved occupation, there were no bombs in London until later that summer. I am not sure if 'home' was that in College Road where Arthur was in 1891: did his second wife move into it with the children and Arthur keep it after his wife left? That would have been a substantial house, so presumably he later downsized to Bowes Park where he was when he died.
