The cargo of the jonge Elisabeth master Hendrik Vlieland 1797




The crew and cargo were lost as we can read in the newspaper and Hendrik Vlieland had to report that for insurance reasons .
All the prizepapers are in the national archive in England  and we have them in copy.
Master Hendrik Vlieland had to declare what cargo he transported and also to whom he had to deliver.
The cargo list made in Rotterdam before the trip to Rouen and Havre La Grace.

Each item is also mentioned and signed for in another paper.

36 barrels fish
2500 carton en paper

10 barrels of white lead
4 barrels of red. and many more items.

You can read what he loaded on his ship and the value. We find in the list ,dry goods ,pepper,round cheeses, barrels with paint, tar, and fish ,the value and sender or receiver.
Track and trace 200 hundred years ago.

Today you buy in a webshop and have your goods delivered .In 1797 it was the same.
