Forestry







CAERPHILLY. FORESTRY.—We are glad to find that Forestry is rapidly progressing here. Some years ago a Court was opened at the New Inn, and for tome time it did not progress very rapidly, but tor the last two years the numbers have increased greatly. On Monday" last the members of the 1 ourt celebrated their anniversary. They met at the court room, dressed in the regalia of the Order, and a procession was formed, which was led by the Pontymeistr Volunteer band. The procession perambulated the village, after which they marched to Pwllypant Villa, the residence of Mr..1.' L. Monfries and were hospitably received. They retnrnod to the New Inn to partake of a capital repast. A long list of toasts, both loyal and local, were drunk. In the after- noon a fete and gala too; place in a field, which was kindly lent for the occasion by Mr. T. Rev uo'ds. Prizes were given for running, &c., and the youne; people amused themselves by dancing &c.
