Vlieland, William "Bill", passed away at the home of daughter, Susan in Riverside, CA October 7th. A Wisconsin native, his family relocated to California in 1941.
William moved to Anaheim in 1961.
He is survived by; brother, Russell Vlieland (OR); sisters, Jean Harrison (CA) and Betty LaBeau (AZ) and his children; daughters, Susan Bailey (CA), Laura Gregg (ID), Sandra Nevins (UT); son, William Vlieland (CA); step-daughter, Victoria Siegert (CA) and step-son Larry Ferre (OR ). To date he has 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. William served in the Navy from January 1944 to May 1946, stationed at Subase #128, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Machinist by trade, he opened Manti Machine Company in 1965.
He has always had a love of fishing and enjoyed playing golf and cards. Viewing to be held Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, 6:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m., and Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m., at Rose Hills Mortuary Stateroom, Gate 1. Service to be held Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Chapel, Gate 1. Interment at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, CA. -
