He cannot be our Joannes .Because he would have left his property to his wife and children .
If it was Jans father he has be born around 1730. as we know from the marriage certificate it our Jan is born in 756 .
So this Joannes Hollander or Jan Hollander is not ours
Heirs of Jan Hollander.
Looking in Amsterdam for houses to be sold or bought in Amsterdam at the time of his wedding we found only one that was bought by Jan Hollander .
In 1805 the heirs of Jan Hollander sold the house. So this Jan Hollander was death by 1805.

Where is this street situated.
It is named after Jacob Jans Lichterman who used to live there in 1609.
It was then a very poor part of Amsterdam, but now it is the place to be for the rich and famous.

Goudsbloemgracht Marygoldcanal
For hygienic reasons the Goudsbloemgracht was, the present Willemstraat, filled with sand.
It actually was not a canal, but more of a ditch .. Along the water ran The Fransepad. (Named after Frans a man who used to live there. It had nothing to do with France )This canal was sometimes nicknamed the 'Herengracht without trees.
The cost for the closing was estimated at fl.28.500 by the council.
By closing the Goudsbloemgracht was, according to one eyewitness, used a different method than normal.. Usually sand was deposited between the two walls of the canal and it pushed the water out.. When working at the Goudsbloemgracht however the water was first pumped out and then the open ditch was filled.
