Nicholas Jerome Paris of Liverpool.
in the county of Lancaster Dancing Master
and John Hodgson of Liverpool a foresaid Gentleman
severally make oath and say and first deponent
Nicholas Jerome Paris for himself saith that the contents
of the parchment writing here unto annexed purporting
to be a petition to the things most excellent majesty
from this deponent and signed by him this deponent are true and this deponent John Hodgson for himself saith that he was present and did see the said
Nicholas Jerome Paris sign the said petiton herunto annexed and that the name `Nicholas Jerome Paris `
therets subscribed is of the proper handwriting of the said
Nicholas jerome Paris and that the name J Hodgson
thereto subscribed as the witness attesting the execution
thereof is of the proper handwriting of the deponent John
Hodgson and the deponent John Hodgson further saith
that he had received instructions ffrom the said Nicholas
Jerome Paris to prepare a conveyance to him of a piece
of land situate in a certain street caleed Hardman
street in Liverpool aforesaid held under the corporation
of Liverpool for lives and years which the said
Nicholas Jerome Paris has contracted to purchase
from one Peter Mainwaring Whitnall of Liverpool
aforesaid school Master but by reason of the said
Nicholas Jerome Paris being an alien born he cannot
take a legal conveyance of the said estate unless his
Majestys Letters of Denization are granted him
The deponents Nicholas Jerome
Paris and John Hodgson severaly
sworn at Liverpool aforesaid the
twelfth day of March 1824
before me
Hodgson and the deponent John Hodgson further saith
that he had received instructions ffrom the said Nicholas
